Abstract
Kleine-Levin syndrome is characterized by recurrent episodes of hypersomnia and associated cognitive and behavioral impairments. We present a 20-year-old male patient with nine-year history of episodic hypersomnia. During each episode, patient slept more than 18 hours a day with visual hallucination and hyperphagia and without hypersexuality. The episode appears three to four times a year and lasts 10 to 15 days. Multiple sleep latency test showed pathologic sleep onset REM periods and shortened sleep latency. This is a typical case of Kleine-Levin syndrome.
